Acceptable Use Policy
Version 1.1 · 2026-09-03
Version 1.1 · effective 2026-09-03
This is the version in force. If we revise it, the new version appears here with a new number and date, and we give notice of material changes before they take effect. Ask us if you want to know how a clause works in practice, and we will tell you plainly.
Most of this policy is one idea: recording people carries legal and human obligations, and they are the customer's to honor. The product is built to make honoring them easy, never to make evading them possible.
1. Recording consent: the customer’s responsibility
- You must comply with every applicable recording and wiretap law, including all-party-consent requirements, in every jurisdiction your participants sit in.
- You must not disable, obscure or work around the product’s consent features: the notetaker’s self-identification, announcements, or a participant’s request to stop.
- When someone in a meeting asks not to be recorded, you honor it. The kill switch exists so that honoring it takes one action.
2. Prohibited uses
- Recording anyone without legally sufficient consent or notice.
- Uploading content you have no right to process.
- Attempting to access another organization’s data, probe the isolation boundaries, or evade rate and access controls (good-faith security research through the disclosure channel is welcome).
- Reselling or white-labeling the service without an agreement.
- Using the service to violate any law or third-party right.
3. Enforcement
Violations can lead to suspension or termination under the Terms of Service. Specific procedures and notice periods will be completed with counsel.
